Madonna facelift?

2007 Disember 11

Madonna has sparked facelift rumours after she was spotted leaving a medical centre with two black eyes.

The 49-year-old singer masked her eyes with oversized black sunglasses as she left the New York building but the dark purple bruising was still visible.

Cosmetic operations on the eyes or nose can leave the patient with bruises. Although Madonna has always denied going under the knife, insisting her youthful looks are natural, it is not the first time she has been dogged by surgery rumours.

In September, she was photographed with a new scar and swelling around her ear.

Celebrity plastic surgeon Alex Karidis said at the time: "I believe she has undergone a form of facelift."

In 2004, Madonna - who is 10 years older than husband Guy Ritchie - was at the centre of another surgery riddle.

She was photographed looking wrinkle-free at the Grammy Awards with many commentators saying she'd had medical help to maintain her youthful looks. Aposotolos Gaitanis, plastic surgeon at the Harley Cosmetic Clinic in London's Harley Street, said: "Madonna has a very well-proportioned face, with high cheekbones, a high forehead and a well-defined jaw line. I suspect she has been enhanced by cosmetic surgery."

Madonna recently said she felt she was a victim of ageism.

She said: "Not only does society suffer from racism and sexism but it also suffers from ageism.

"Once you reach a certain age you're not allowed to be adventurous, you're not allowed to be sexual. I mean, is there a rule? Are you supposed to die?"

Marilyn Manson Angered By Fan

Shock rocker Marilyn Manson was far from impressed when a member of the audience at a gig in Manchester, England on Thursday threw a bottle at the stage.

The missile was thrown by someone in the crowd and hit Manson's bassist - to which the singer responded with a thinly-veiled call for his fans to punish the offender.

He told the audience, "I just want to be sure that you guys know that I did not say 'beat the s--- out of him.' I said 'No, whatever you do, don't beat the s--- out of that guy that raised his hand. No matter what don't beat that guy's f---ing skull in, no matter what."

The singer is no stranger to traffic offenses after being charged with driving without a valid license earlier this year, and was also charged for committing a hit-and-run incident while attempting to park her Mercedes Benz in August.

This weekend, Spears was pictured driving on the wrong side of the road into incoming traffic, reports TMZ.com.

Rihanna pulls shows

Rihanna's UK tour appears to be in jeopardy, after she was forced to cancel three shows on doctor's orders.

The US R&B superstar cancelled a gig in Nottingham on Saturday and has now also pulled tonight's concert at the NEC in Birmingham.

The gig in Bournemouth on Tuesday is also reported to have been postponed, although it is unclear what ailment the singer is suffering from.

In a statement, Rihanna said she "appreciates the love and support of all her fans and wants nothing more than to see and connect with them."

There is no word on whether the dates will be rescheduled. Rihanna's next scheduled gig is in Newcastle on Thursday.

The tour is due to conclude in Moscow on Friday, December 21.
