Justin pens Britney breakdown track

2007 November 16

Justin Timberlake has written a song about Britney Spears' breakdown.

The 'SexyBack' singer has produced and co-written 'Falling Down' with British band Duran Duran about his ex-girlfriend's dramatic fall from grace.

Duran Duran drummer Roger Taylor said: "I suppose it's loosely based on her, but not only on one celebrity - just celebrity culture in general.

"A lot of young celebrities seem to disappear into rehab. So it's kind of like, what could be happening in your wildest dream in that rehab centre?"

The video shows a Britney look-a-like checking into rehab.

Lead singer Simon Le Bon said: "I haven't spoken to Justin since the video has been made public. But he likes his pretty girls, so he probably would like it.

"I just wish Britney could accept help. It seems that all the people who care about her, she's pushing away."

When Justin split from Britney he released his hit single 'Cry Me a River' which featured a girl who looked just like her in the video.

Britney, 26, checked into rehab earlier this year after a spate of wild partying which culminated in her shaving her head and attacking the paparazzi with an umbrella.

Shayne and Enrique frenzy

Shayne Ward and Enrique Iglesias were forced to leave a nightclub after hordes of women started chasing them.

The two pop heartthrobs, who were partying in the VIP area of London nightspot Fifty at the weekend, found themselves swamped by female fans when news spread of their presence.

Shayne - who was celebrating performing his new song 'Breathless' on 'The X Factor', the TV show he won in 2005 - and Enrique didn't want to disrupt anyone else's night and hastily left via the back door and into their waiting blacked-out cars.

A source said: "Before anyone knew it as soon as the commotion had started, Shayne and Enrique disappeared - they obviously didn't want to draw any attention to themselves!"

The pair didn't leave alone and some lucky female fans were invited to join them.

Shayne has developed a taste for partying with beautiful women.

The 23-year-old singer had such fun with 30 models on the California set of his music video 'If That's OK With You', he flew them to the UK for the single's promotional tour.

Timbaland prepares for American Music Awards

Beyonce, Justin Timberlake, Linkin Park and Chris Daughtry lead the nominations for Sunday's American Music Awards.

Timberlake, Timbaland and Akon are up for best pop/Rock male artist, while Knowles, Fergie and Avril Lavigne compete in the female category.

Linkin Park, Maroon 5 and Nickelback will square off for the pop/Rock group award. Daughtry, Plain White T's and Robin Thicke are up for best new artist.

The show may also be a test of host Jimmy Kimmel's ad-lib abilities.

The script for the show was written before the writers' strike in Los Angeles, but it hasn't been revised. That means it won't include any mention of recent happenings unless someone comes up with it at the spur of the moment.

The show will be broadcast live from Los Angeles on ABC on Sunday.

Spice Girls live comeback

The Spice Girls made their live comeback at the Victoria's Secret fashion show last night (15.11.07).

The reunited girl group - Victoria Beckham, Mel B, Geri Halliwell, Emma Bunton and Mel C - stepped on stage as a five-piece for the first time in nine years to perform two songs at the annual event in Los Angeles.

The girls, dressed in tight military-style outfits, debuted new song 'Headlines (Friendship Never Ends)' and classic hit 'Stop' in front of a star-studded audience at Hollywood's Kodak Theatre.

However, the group - who sang live at every concert of their 1998 world tour - lip-synced the two songs.

Geri - who quit the band in 1998 - said the appearance had been a "good warm-up" for their forthcoming world tour, which stars in Vancouver, Canada, on December 2.

She also promised fans the new concerts would be "full of drama", while Emma revealed the set list will include "all our old classics".

She added: "I'm having the best time."

Earlier in the evening, Black Eyed Peas star will.i.am performed in place of hip-hop star Kanye West, who withdrew from the event following the death of his mother.

Seal and wife Heidi Klum, a Victoria's Secret model, also performed a duet together
