P. Diddy celebrates in style

2007 November 15

P. Diddy flew 100 of his closest friends to his Miami home to celebrate his 38th birthday.

The hip-hop star charted a plane for his pals, including Jay-Z, Pharrell Williams and his former lover Kim Porter, so they could attend his lavish bash.

The guests were entertained by fireworks which finished with a sign lit up in flames reading: "Diddy. The World Is Yours."

Diddy's birthday was actually on November 4 but waited until Saturday (10.11.07) to celebrate.

The bash was organised with the help of Ciroc Vodka, who Diddy recently signed a multi-million dollar deal with.

Diddy will be involved in everything from marketing to deciding where to sell the alcoholic beverage, which is one of drink giants Diageo's super-premium lines.

Diddy will receive 50 per cent of the profits and could earn up to $100 million if the brand performs well.

He said: "Diageo realised I'm not just a celebrity endorser, I'm a brand builder. I'm a luxury brand builder."

Jennifer Lopez miscarriage scare

Jennifer Lopez was reportedly rushed to hospital following a miscarriage scare

The 'Do It Well' singer, who confirmed she is expecting her first child with husband Marc Anthony last week, was taken to a US hospital after noticing blood in her urine.

One of Jennifer's friends is quoted by various internet sites as saying: "She was worried that something bad could happen. She's petrified that something could go wrong with her pregnancy. The hospital visit really shook her up. If she lost the baby, her life would be shattered."

Jennifer, who has been touring North America with Marc, has been ordered to rest by doctors over fears strenuous activity could put her unborn child in danger.

The 38-year-old singer's mother Guadalupe is said to have been begging Jennifer to slow down for months.

A source said: "Her mother is constantly on the phone, telling her to calm down. Guadalupe's very no-nonsense and she's told Jennifer that she needs to take some time out of the limelight to enjoy her pregnancy and her baby when he or she arrives."

Last week, the Latino star ended weeks of speculation by telling fans at her Miami concert she was pregnant.

She said: "Marc and I are expecting!"

Marc, who has three children from two previous relationships, then tenderly kissed her expanding stomach.

Reports of Jennifer's pregnancy first surfaced in September and she is thought to be due to give birth in the spring.

Britney Spears planning cosmetic surgery

Britney Spears is planning to spend £80,000 on cosmetic surgery

The 'Gimme More' singer believes having a tummy tuck, nose job, chemical peel and boob job will help boost her career

A source said: "Britney rips pages out of magazines with pictures of the perfect body parts she wants. When she sees so many pictures of her in magazines it is impossible for her not to scrutinise every detail of her body.

"She is so insecure over how much her body has changed since becoming a mother. She has said she will do whatever it takes to get back to her best even if that means getting a helping hand through surgery."

Britney's top-to-toe makeover is said to include £8,000 on liposuction for her thighs and chin, £12,000 on breast enhancement, £8,000 on a nose job, a £15,000 tummy tuck and £5,000 on chemical peels. Consultations with surgeons, dieticians and fitness trainers are expected to top up the total bill to over £80,000.

The star's friends are concerned with Britney's growing obsession over her appearance and medical experts have warned cosmetic surgery doesn't always improve self-confidence.

Clinical psychologist Linda Blair told Britain's Closer magazine: "People often think surgery will solve all their problems but it really won't. Most clinics will not go ahead with a procedure if things are not right with the patient mentally. Patients can experience terrible disappointment if they have surgery and then find nothing has improved in their life."

Lindsay Lohan enjoying community service

Lindsay Lohan's father says she is "really enjoying" her community service

Michael Lohan claims the 'Mean Girls' star - who began her community service for a drink driving conviction at a Los Angeles' American Red Cross blood services facility blood donor centre on Monday - has always wanted to do charity work.

Michael told People magazine: "I asked her how it was going and she said she is really enjoying it. She's happy.

"When she was younger I had her at hospitals, visiting cancer patients and sick kids. I know she wants to do stuff like this, mission work."

Lindsay received the mandatory minimum sentence of four days in jail after being convicted of DUI for the second time. Prosecutors agreed to reduce this to two days if she served 10 days of community service.

The 21-year-old actress has already served one day after the authorities gave her credit for the time she spent in custody following her July arrest.

She has until January to complete the remaining 24 hours of her jail
sentence

Lindsay - who checked out of Utah's Cirque Lodge rehab centre on October 5 after a stay of over two months - was also placed on three years probation and must complete an 18-month alcohol education programme as part of her plea bargain.
